Duston & Upton did a great job yesterday remembering the fallen with church services taking place across the parishes. There was also a parade by the Girls' and Boys' Brigades, Upton Parish Council's unveiling of the Upton Soldier tree carving on the Kent Rd car park and wreaths laid at the Duston War Memorial by many local groups and organisations. The last post was sounded by Liberty Youth Music's Dale Willis & Amelia at the War Memorial on Armistice Day and in church on Remembrance Sunday. Displays included Duston Parish Council's wonderful poppy cascade plus a tremendous effort by the 11th Northampton Boys' Brigade Company who made poppies to decorate the United Reformed Church.Well done everyone for your efforts. We will remember them.
