Our Aims and Objectives for the plot

We continue to strive to protect, maintain and develop this valuable asset that Duston Parish Council has. We rely heavily on the goodwill and time given freely to work with Jenny, our TGTA co-ordinator, and welcome all ages and abilities as well as groups who can benefit from everything it has to offer.

The Grow Together Allotment was established on the Berrywood Road site in 2016 and has continued to grow and develop with the help of Jenny, and volunteers over the years.

It is now an award winning, established plot that is home to various individuals and community groups who use it to enhance the wellbeing of their clients.

The space is open to all, whatever age or gardening ability, from pre schoolers upwards.

If your group, school or organisation would like to join us, we would be happy to hear from you.

Activities at the allotment often fit in well with badgework and projects, especially as it is a great resource to illustrate the growth cycle, where our food comes from, wildlife habitats etc

This may also fit in with the national curriculum.

We are also happy to accommodate 'awaydays' from the workplace. This has proved very popular in the past, providing an opportunity to get away from the office for a spot of teambuilding!

We have various drop in dates and pop up evenings throughout the year but also have the flexibility to work with you and your group to plan specific visiting times.

Please get in touch with Jenny directly on tgta@duston-pc.gov.uk if you would like to hear more about this opportunity

Please note that the Berrywood Rd site by nature has a lot of uneven ground therefore may not be suitable or accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
